The STS XPD-924D is a 24-inch direct-to-film printer powered by dual print heads for production-grade throughput. Designed for decorators moving DTF from a side workflow into a core revenue line, the XPD-924D combines two-head printing with a workflow built around STS's XD-942 ink chemistry — purpose-formulated for dependable DTF output, vibrant color, and bright white opacity.
DTF — direct-to-film — prints designs onto special clear polyester films using water-based pigment inks and a powder adhesive coating. After curing, the transfer is heat-pressed onto cotton, polyester, blends, and most synthetic fabrics, making it one of the most flexible decoration methods on the market.
Dual-head production throughput
Two staggered print heads deliver substantially higher output per pass than a single-head printer at the same 24″ width — the XPD-924D is built for shops where DTF is the production line, not the experiment.
STS XD-942 ink compatibility
The XPD-924D runs STS's XD-942 ink set — CMYK plus white, formulated specifically for the platform. Genuine STS inks are matched to the printer's drivers, RIP profiles, and maintenance routines for predictable color and consistent white-ink behavior.
Turnkey production bundles available
The XPD-924D is offered as a complete production system when paired with the STS S10 (24″) or S20 (24″) automatic powder shaker. The shaker handles powder application and curing in-line — print, powder, cure, and roll off finished transfers without manual handling between stations.
Built for consistent output and reduced labor
The complete print + powder + cure workflow is engineered around consistency and operator time. Less manual handling means fewer registration errors and more transfers ready to press at the end of each shift.
