The DTRX is a complete direct-to-film line, not a printer you then have to build a workflow around. A 32-inch roll goes in one end. Printed, powdered, cured transfers come out the other. The adhesive applicator and curing unit are engineered and certified by Brother to run with the printer, so there is no third-party dryer to source, no powder shaker to tune, and no guessing whose fault it is when adhesion fails. If you are outsourcing transfers today, or running sheets through a tabletop shaker one at a time, this is what replaces both.
What the whole line does.
Four Brother-built industrial print heads with wave-like ink flow, a 10-inch touchscreen, white-ink circulation through the lines and manifold, and an adhesive curing unit with automated powder recirculation — printing, powdering, and curing in one pass down the line.
Who this machine is for.
This machine is for you if: you are buying transfers from someone else and the margin is gone; you already print DTF but a 13-inch or 24-inch roll is forcing you to split artwork; you supply other decorators and need to sell transfers by the yard; or you print the same designs in volume and want to press instead of print.
It is probably not for you if: you print mostly one-offs on cotton and care about a soft hand. That is a GTX300 job. If you need both, most shops start with one and add the other. Come see them side by side in Santa Fe Springs.
Before you buy, check three things: floor space for two machines roughly 7.6 ft and 6.4 ft wide, 200 to 240V single-phase power at both positions (the curing unit wants a 20A circuit), and a room you can hold between 64F and 86F. We walk the room with you before the order goes in.
